Cold plasma pesticide generation is a relatively new technology that produces a strong antimicrobial agent (Eradicant) that is made out of the O2 molecule only and because of a no heat process it does not produce off gasses. A raw form, authorized by the FDA, is used as a practical disinfectant for ensuring the microbiological safety of food products without leaving chemical residues. It is said that because of cold plasma, man has created the safest and most effective antimicrobial agent from ambient air. The "cold" in cold plasma is meant as, low electric current opposed to "hot", a high electrical current which of course would cause an arcing. Arcing like a welding rod causes heat thus influencing other gasses (most poisonous) to occur. Cold plasma generators produce a regulated cold electrical leak allowing high voltage to evenly bleed off constantly producing a very steady clean antimicrobial agent. "Eradicant:
A chemical or treatment applied to eliminate a pest or
pathogen from its host or environment". Source:
